Notes:
The 'A' Side of this single was the theme to BBC TV's "Comedy Playhouse", a series of ten half-hour comedy plays. Episode five of the ten was called "The Offer" and featured two rag-&-bone men. The 'B' Side is the theme to "The Offer" episode, which due to viewer response, the BBC commissioned a series featuring the same characters, which became 'Steptoe & Son'. When the series aired the BBC kept the same opening theme so is now usually referred to as "Theme From 'Steptoe & Son' (Old Ned)". Four series of 'Steptoe & Son' were made in the early 1960's (in black & white), and a further four series and two feature films were made (in colour) in the early 1970's. The 'B' Side of this single was re-issued in 1972 as an 'A' Side at the time of the first feature film's release in cinemas. See this release: [r6289043
