How do I use the product catalogue?

To use the catalogue click on the letter of the FIRST NAME of the artist you require. For example if I am looking for a records by Robbie Williams I will click on the letter 'R'. This will take you to all the items in that category. Click on 'BUY' next to your required item and then move onto the payments and order section.

How can I pay for my items?

Payment can be made by credit/debit card through the Secure server. Alternatively please make your cheque or postal order (UK pounds only) payable to R Wilkes, I will also except UK or US cash (at your own risk) International money order or Paypal. If you have any queries or concerns please contact us via e-mail.

Should you be unhappy with your purchase for whatever reason please FIRST email rick@rixrecords.com stating why (ie wrong format / wrong mix / damged in transit)

If it is within 14 days of the date that the item was delivered to you, we will issue a full refund (via payment originally used) as long as the item is returned in its original condition, complete

There are 2 ways that you can return an item to Rixrecords.

Pop the item back in its packaging. Seal tight, cross out your address & write return to sender clearly on the item. This will not cost anything but please note this way is not insured so if the item is lost in transit it is your responsibility

You will be charged for this. It is strongly recommended that you obtain a proof of posting from your post office as insurance on a return item is your responsibility. If an item hasn’t arrived we ask for you to wait 28 days before a refund or replacement is issued as by experience most items usually turn up at your address or are returned to Rix in that time.

UK 1st Class Postage is Ł2.00 for first item Ł1.00 for each additional item. Europe Airmail Postage is Ł3.00 for first item Ł1.50 for each additional item. World Airmail Postage is Ł5.00 for first item Ł2.50 for each additional item.
Flate Rate CD worldwide postage Ł2.00 for first item Ł1.00 for each additional item

Ł1.00 UK signed for Insured up to Ł26.00.
Ł3.00 International signed for Insured up to Ł250.00 (also for UK orders over Ł26.00) .

Rixrecords normally ships on Mondays & Thursdays & we will endeavour to ship any orders placed before 11am

All Inland items are sent via first class & overseas are sent airmail as standard

Do you use a secure server for credit card orders?

Yes, although there is no yellow padlock displayed in the browser. This is because the site uses frames. The credit card order form uses 128 bit SSL, the strongest commercially available level of encryption. All your private data will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. Condtion and Grading of items?

Grades as record collector standard if there are two gradings, sleeve is first, 7" & 12" records mostly come with paper or card sleeves unless ps (picture sleeve) or cs (company sleeve) are stated. Everything on the list is original and original recordings are standard where applicable (unless stated). Please note that while every effort is taken to be as accurate as possible we are human and if mistakes are made you are entitled to a full money back guarantee.

Abbreviations

NEW		This item is new & will state in description weather sealed or not. However some of the items may have been auditioned & may contain the odd light fingerprint.
EXCELLENT	:	This item has been used but is virtually as good as new. The item may contain fingerprints or very light surface marks which will not affect play the sleeve might show light wear.
VERY GOOD +	:	This item has obviously been put to good use but has been looked after. It may contain noticable surface marks & the occasional light scratch which should make very little difference to the playing. The sleeve, lable or extra items may contain folds writing or a small tear.
VERY GOOD	:	You can tell the record is secondhand but is still of a Very Good standard.
GOOD +	:	The item has been put to good use over the years & may crackle but is guaranteed not to jump. The orig items /sleeve supplied may be missing.
GOOD	:	The record has obviously been put to good use over the years may crackle but is guaranteed not to jump.
WOL	:	Writing or sticker on label
WOS	:	Writing or sticker on sleeve
NOC	:	Has large Jukebox type centre (please note on foreign pressings this is usually as standard and not listed)
PS	:	Picture Sleeve
CS	:	Company Sleeve or Card Sleeve if CD

Obviously with CD's & Tapes They either play or are faulty so the grading may be used as a visual check on the sleeve & the item itself.
